Casein and slow-release blended protein

Caseins are proteins that because of their micellar structure and nature are considered slow-absorption proteins, in fact they are also called "slow proteins." They are blends that often contain micellar caseins and calcium caseinate also mixed with fast-absorbing sources such as concentrated Whey Protein.

Scientific studies have shown that caseins are a slow-release protein source because they provide a more time-delayed release of protein into the bloodstream than whey (whey protein): following their intake, a spike in blood amino acid index is noted only after 3 to 4 hours. Protein synthesis of these high-value proteins can take up to 7 hours after casein ingestion.

For this reason, we recommend that you take the products in the category "Slow-Release Casein Proteins and Blends" away from workouts, especially before going to sleep, so that you have slow amino acid availability, perfect for the nighttime hours and a reduction in protein catabolism caused by overnight fasting.
