Egg protein

Egg protein supplements are products (usually powders) made from protein derived fromegg whites.

Eggwhites are considered the near-perfect source of protein for human nutrition because the amino acid composition of egg protein is very similar to that required to meet the needs of the human body.

The intake of egg protein as a protein source is, for example, suggested if you are allergic to milk protein or intolerant to dairy products, or your doctor has recommended this type of protein source, but not only that. Due to the time required for their digestion, egg protein would help you feel full longer than other protein sources.

Egg protein supplements are also considered a good source of vitamins A, B, D and vitamin E, a molecule with antioxidant action. Their carbohydrate content, on the other hand, is limited, which is why their intake is also suggested for slimming diets.
